Beyond the Welcome Sign: From Accessibility to Belonging

What does it take to create spaces where everyone feels they truly belong?

Join speakers, self-advocates, and representatives from organizations across sectors that are leading the way as they share practical lessons, challenges, and successes in creating environments that move beyond accessibility and toward genuine inclusion.

Through real stories, lived experience, and innovative approaches, this conversation will explore how intentional design, inclusive employment practices, community partnerships, and authentic engagement can create meaningful opportunities and welcoming experiences for all.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand what inclusive spaces can look like across sectors.

  2. Learn concrete practices already in use (policies, training, design choices, guest supports, partnerships).

  3. Hear lived-experience perspectives.

  4. Leave with practical ideas and motivation to create inclusive spaces.
