Maddy Dever (they/them) is a non-binary Autistic adult and parent of four young adults who are all also Autistic, living in Rural Eastern Ontario.
They advocate with provincial and federal governments for the inclusion and acceptance of Autistic individuals, and for Autistic people to have their own voice in every policy decision that affects them. As President of Autistic Bridge Inc., an Autistic-led organization, they foster connections between Autistics, their families, and those who support them. Maddy is the Chair of Canada's National Autism Network, the originator of the NeuroTapestry framework, and Director of Policy for the Ontario Disability Coalition. A former Vice-Chair of the Autism Alliance of Canada and inaugural member of the Editorial Board of the Canadian Journal of Autism Equity (Autism Ontario 2022 Gerry Bloomfield Award recipient), Maddy has spoken at conferences across Canada and twice to the UN Human Rights Committee on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
