Dr. Kimberley Zonneveld is an Associate Professor and the Graduate Program Director in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University.
Since 2002, she has worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across clinical, educational, and research settings. Dr. Zonneveld earned her Ph.D. in Behavioral Psychology (Behaviour Analysis) from the University of Kansas, following completion of the doctoral coursework at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master of Science in Behaviour Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Her research and clinical work span diverse applications of behaviour analysis to promote meaningful skill development and social participation across diverse populations. Her recent work examines behavioural interventions that leverage technology and innovative teaching formats, such as telehealth-delivered video prompting, virtual training, and TAGteach with fluency-building strategies. She also investigates how group contingencies and data-based decision systems can improve classwide performance and physical activity in educational settings.
In parallel, Dr. Zonneveld continues to study pediatric feeding difficulties and skill acquisition for individuals across the lifespan with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her research emphasizes scalable, sustainable applications of evidence-based practices and the training of parents, educators, and other behaviour change agents to implement these interventions with fidelity.
